Payment Methods

The default methods of payment are sterling cheque, Postal Order and PayPal - these can be selected at checkout (for POs - sterling only - select cheque payment: the address to send cheques and POs will be given or can be found at the bottom of the home page, or by sending me an email.

I can also accept electronic bank transfers - select cheque payment at checkout and then email me for my account details.

I can also accept BIC/IBAN type overseas transfers, but must point out that the buyer is responsible for all fees, including those charged by the UK bank and the items remain the property of strop-shop.co.uk until paid for in full - note that UK fees are not charged in some instances, notably for payments by some EU countries, but please ask your bank whether you will have to pay them a fee and whether the UK bank will be charging a fee, and add this to the payment.

NB: Items with a value of over £39 will usually be sent in the UK by recorded or special delivery, so please be sure that someone is available to sign for the package.  Asking me to ensure that something is "left in the porch" or similar will only result in the item being taken back to the depot and the postman leaving a "while you were out" attempted delivery card - the local sorting office telephone number will be on this card as well as an online redelivery service - you can use either to arrange a new delivery date at no cost.

Overseas: items costing over £39 will usually be sent by some sort of tracked service, such as Airsure or International Recorded Airmail - a signature will be required on delivery.
