Hand Made Razor Strops & Paddles
Quality Leather Hanging and Paddle Strops - Hand Made in the UK
I am a UK strop maker, making hanging and paddle strops by hand from the finest materials.
Each item is indivually made by me - from selecting the hide, cutting it, making the quality padded handles and stitching/rivetting on the hanging gear. I also cut and shape the paddle boards - nobody else is involved in the manufacture of my strops and they are not available from anyone else. I have supplied strops to very many individuals over the years, and although some of them have had strops made by all the major manufacturers around today I still get feedback that mine are the best. Not only that, but I am proud to say that they are Made In England!
I use fine cowhides, the best latigo leather, excellent english bridle leather, superb shell cordovan leather, heavy duty cotton and genuine linen, hard wool felt and seasoned hardwoods. Hanging gear is solid brass, solid nickel and stainless steel. All hanging strop panels and handles as well as being sewn and/or stitched are glued as well for extra strength. These items are built to last! Used carefully, they will last a lifetime - or longer! My paddle strops are wider and longer than you will see elsewhere, and a great alternative to a hanging strop. They are also ideal for coating with abrasive compounds, which I also stock, ideal for keeping that shave-ready edge on your razor for longer than plain leather and cotton can.
All the strops in my shop are available - not in large quanities obviously, given the hand-made nature of each - but I also make strops to individual requirements in length, width, material, number of leather panels, etc - if you have something in mind please contact me for a quote.
