Synthetic Nagura Rubbing Stone - small
£2.25

Synthetic Japanese Nagura Stone - small This is a King brand Japanese artificial Nagura stone for raising a slurry on waterstones. They are also used to clean the surfaces of stones that have become glazed in use, such as Naniwa Super Stones. They have the same grit size as the King Gold Stones - around 8000 grit, so are good for a wide variety of waterstones. It measures approx. 70mm x 20mm x 23mm. The nagura stone is soaked - like the waterstone should be, then it is rubbed over the surface of the hone until the desired consistency of slurry is raised. Using a slurry speeds up the sharpening process. Please Note: I have had a lot of queries asking whether this stone can be used for honing a razor on!? The answer is NO - it is way too small! |
