Vintage Belgian Yellow Coticule Razor Hone on Hinged Hardwood Paddle

This is a gorgeous little item - a nice antique as well as a very usable razor hone!  The hardwood case - it looks like mahogany to me - has been shaped to provide a handle at one end and hinges open to reveal a vintage coticule.  The dimensions of the coticule itself are 6.25 inches x 1.25 inches and there is about 3/16ths of an inch of the coticule visible above the edge of the timber.  I have not been able to tell whether a slip of coticule has been stuck to the paddle or whether it has been recessed into the paddle (it is well stuck in position!), but either way there is enough of the coticule available for some years continual use.  It is slightly thicker at one end than the other and has been lapped flat.  It is a very hard stone and gives a very good edge - I have tried it on my trusty Revisor razor and it gave a very satisfying shave.
